News Release: GRTW Founder, Rachael Woolston announced as Outspoken Awards Finalist

We are excited to announce that founder of Girls Run the World, Rachael Woolston has been selected as a finalist for an Outspoken Award in the Business Impact category.
The Outspoken Awards aim to celebrate and recognised the contribution of women working in endurance sports.
The Business Impact Award is given to a woman in the business of endurance sport who is working to further women’s equity or diversity.
‘I’m delighted to be announced as a finalist for the Outspoken Awards,’ says Rachael Woolston. ‘When I set Girls Run the World up in 2016, it was to help bring more female specific coaching to women in running and triathlon.
‘And to amplify the voices of female coaches in an attempt to redress the balance.’
Since launching the digital aspect of the business in 2019, which offers a library of female specific strength, rehab and physio videos alongside coaching, Girls Run the World has helped reached over 10,000 women worldwide.
We now work with over six female coaches from around the world and are developing a mentoring and leadership programme to help inspire and support future coaches.
‘Our mission continues to be to encourage participation and empower women through endurance sport,’ explains Rachael Woolston. ‘We also remain focused on amplifying the voices of female endurance coaches and showcasing female expertise in training, sports science and more.’
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 13th November as part of the Outspoken Summit in Tempe, AZ.
