Project Marathon Autumn 2022 applications are now open

Do you want to have your own coach, a progressive training plan and monthly calls to keep you accountable? Apply for one of eight places to train for London marathon 2022

Training with Girls Run the World online gives you direct access to our coaches
I’ll be online, helping you to adapt, progress and develop throughout the 20 weeks

Crossing the finish line of a marathon is a journey that starts before you even put on your trainers.

It starts with setting goals, intentions and focus. Then following a progressive, structured training plan that includes strength and mobility.

If you are serious about achieving your goals this Autumn, and would love to have the input of a coach apply to be part of my Project Marathon Autumn Team 2022.

We are only taking on ten runners, with priority given to those who demonstrate a clear goal and training history. ( If you are currently an annual member, this programme will be free but you still need to apply).

What is included?

If your application is successful, you will receive the following:

  • Four week live stream strength training twice per week on Weds and Friday mornings (with breaks for staff holidays).
  • Live stream yoga on Monday evenings throughout the plan (with breaks for staff holidays).
  • 16 week training plan (delivered via our training app, Training Peaks).
  • Weekly (Tuesday) coach feedback and contact via the training plan.
  • Monthly Group coaching calls

You will be coached by the founder of GRTW and head coach, Rachael who has coached women for over 12 years, helping them to achieve personal bests, finish line feelings and good for age qualifications.

How it works

Your 16 week training plan will be delivered via Training Peaks, which allows you to see your plan on your mobile device or laptop, along with all the specific instructions that you need for each session.

You can write post workout notes for your coach to see, and for you to keep on track of your training.

Strength classes are delivered via Zoom for your first four week block. These are essential to help you gain the stability and mobility for endurance running.

Yoga classes will also be delivered via Zoom.

There is a choice of over eight training plans, all geared towards different levels. Your plan will be chosen after careful consultation with you on your goals and aims. (For specific and personalised training plans, please consult our 1-2-1 coaching prices).

The cost is £200 (£10 per week) payable in one block on successful admittance to the programme. Or it is included on an annual membership subscription to Girls Run the World, which costs £275.

Applications close May 2nd 2022. Successful applicants will be notified May 6th. Training starts May 16th 2022.
