Delivered via the GRTW Training Peaks app, you can access your training plan direct from an app on your phone, enabling you to access your workouts, track progress and maintain a traniing diary as you go.
Builds time efficiency and helps to promote accountability.
About the course
Created by Lucja Leonard, a veteran of ultra trail running having completed renowned events such as UTMB, Leadville 100 and more.
The training plan is perfect if you are taking on events such as Race to the Stones or Race to the King. It builds distance gradually, with hiking and speed sessions included.
This 20 week trainning plan starts at a volume of 32km and builds to 89km at peak week.
You will run from 3-6 runs per week with a recovery week every fourth week.
About Lucja
From the infamous Leadville 100 miler to the stunningly beautiful Ultra Trail Mont Blanc, Australian born Lucja is an extremely experienced ultra runner.
Her feet have seen her running across the world in all kinds of terrain from Oman to the Gobi Desert, and now in Tennessee, USA where she is based.
As a qualified personal trainer, with a speciality in functional anatomy and biomechanics, Lucja is particularly interested in creating strength programmes that improve mobilty and biomechanics to help women explore further and for longer, both in distance and in their life span.
As a veteran of 200-240 mile trail races, she is also an expert in mental resilience.
Strength and mobility
We would recommend combining the first four to eight weeks with a stability training plan, such as Glute Stability for Performance, or Balanced Athlete.
