Strength training improves stability to make you more efficient as a runner and triathlete. It can also help prevent injuries and, research shows that it can help to improve speed.
As an older female athlete, building muscle is also crucial for hormone balance and metabolism.
About the course
This eight session four week block of 30 minute online strength sessions via Zoom are aimed at helping to build a strong base for female endurance athletes.
You just have your own kettlebell or dumbbell, and have experience of using them.
This block will be a limited class size so book to avoid disappointment.
2 sessions per week, 30 minutes each. Please find specific dates below. Zoom links are posted within the programme which you can view once purchased.
This programme is complimentary to annual and quarterly members and Team GRTW Project Marathon 2022.
Rachael has over fifteen years experience in strength training for women. An Age Group Triathlete for GB and 1st woman V40 Mumbai Marathon, she also has competed in Ironman. She has created weight-lifting and HIIT programmes that transform performance and help women to become stronger and more stable.
