16 week training plan for a trail half marathon

Stay accountable with our 16 week training plan, which includes live stream strength and conditioning. You will also benefit from group coaching calls. 

And, if you choose to join us for the event Lakeland Trails 23km, you will benefit from warm up and celebration on race day. 

Accountability, coaching support and a great training experience all for £7.50 per week. Alternatively, subscribe for a full year or quarterly membership using our first year launch code GRTWTB and it will cost just £15.60 per month. 

About the course

Train Strong Together™ Team GRTW is our initiative to help promote greater participation, accountability and support for women in trail runnining.

Focusing on one specific trail ultra event in 2022, the Lakeland Trails 24km, means that wherever you live in the UK, you can train together virtually for a common goal, and know that you will have support on that start and finish line. 

Our research shows that time to train makes running club sessions and gym classes difficult to attend. Our training plan and coaches support you with qualified training advice, while the community help to keep you inspired and accountable. 

Price of the programme includes: 

Four week, 2 x per week live stream strength class 

16 week (or join at 12 weeks) training plan delivered by the GRTW Training Peaks app

1 x group coaching call per month (first Tuesday of every month at 1pm, starting 5th April)

GRTW performance run vest 

Group accountability

Race meet up and celebration

- 21st March 2022, training plan starts,

- Four week live stream strength classes, Weds and Friday, 7.45-8.15am (starts Weds 24 March, ends Weds 20th April - no class on Good Friday)

- Coaching calls, first Tuesday of every month, 1pm. Starts April 5th

About Rachael W

Rachael has over 19 years experience practising yoga, and over a decade of experience teaching it specifically to runners and athletes from a variety of sporting backgrounds.

Like many runners, she started doing yoga when a running injury forced her out of marathon training. Six months of practise later, and she felt better than she had in years.

Since then, she has gone on to practise across the world, from Brazil to India (where she studied under Madonna's yoga teacher) and Portugal.

She identifies as a runner and triathlete who practises yoga, not a yogi who is a runner or triathlete. And her focus is always on improving the flexibility and mobility of those she teaches. 

Flexibility is for everyone, not just the naturally bendy.
