Join us for a beautiful summer trail running and yoga retreat in the South Downs.  Between our team of female coaches, we’ve run most of the trails in Sussex and we’ll help you to explore all our favourite places and enjoy the beauty of trail running in the summer.

With technique advice as well as yoga sessions to restore and unwind and delicious home cooked, vegetarian meals, our Girls Run the World retreat will leave you feeling fit, strong and rested. The perfect, healthy escape for mind, body and soul and women who love to run.

Price includes:

  • B&B on a shared bunk bed dorm basis
  • Vegetarian meal on Friday and Saturday night
  • Unlimited tea and coffee
  • 3 or 4 Trail runs (Friday night, 2 x on Sat 1 x Sun morning)
  • 3 or 4 yoga sessions (1x fri, 2 xSat morning, 1 x Sunday).

Dates: Friday 20th (arrival from 5pm) – Sunday 22nd July 2018 (departure 2 pm)

Location:  A beautiful restored farmhouse in a hamlet just outside the beautiful West Sussex village of Amberley

Price: £275 per person.

FRIDAY

Arrival from 17:00pm

19:00-20:00pm Choose between a Yin Yoga session to unwind and restore or a night trail run.

20:15pm Vegetarian Dinner

SATURDAY

7-8am Yoga Flow Yoga, an early start for those who choose to join us for an hour’s yoga, helping to nourish and mobilise the body and restore balance.

8.30am – 10am Breakfast

10.12.30pm – Trail run of between six and 10 miles

12.30 – 15.00pm Lunch at a local pub and a chance to relax

15.30pm-18.00pm – A leisurely trail run of between 4 – 6 miles

18.30pm – 19.30pm Sunset Yoga for Runners

20.00pm Dinner

SUNDAY 

8.00am-9.00am Flow Yoga

9.30am-10.30am Breakfast

11-12.30am Trail Run 4 miles

14:00pm End of Girls Run the World retreat

 

  • Accommodation (bunk beds in shared rooms of four to eight) in SouthDowns Bunkhouse.
  • 3 or 4 yoga sessions
  • 3 or 4 trail runs with qualified Girls Run the World female coaches

Our accommodation is located in Houghton, a small hamlet that is a 12 minute walk away from Amberley Train station. Parking is available for those arriving by car.

Accommodation will be is in a restored boutique Southdowns Bunkhouse with shared rooms of four or eight in bunk beds. Bathrooms are shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be able to run at a certain speed?

All speeds are welcome and we will have between two and three coaches to ensure that no one is left on their own.

Do I need to be able to run a certain distance?

Yes, you will need to be able to run a minimum of four miles without stopping.

Do I have to do every session?

No, all of our sessions are optional. Should you choose to enjoy the surroundings and explore on your own, you are welcome to do so.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

No, mats will be provided.

What happens if it rains? 

We will run whatever the weather, be prepared with the right clothing.
